World Urban Regeneration Best Practices(Wurbp)Case Collection

Dear Applicant

Greetings!

First, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for your intention to be part of the First Cycle of the World Urban Regeneration Best Practices (WURBP) Case Collection!

This initiative is a collaborative effort between Shanghai University and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat). WURBP aligns with global development priorities by advancing the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and accelerating the localization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with a strong focus on SDG 11. It directly supports two key goals of the UN-Habitat Strategic Plan 2020–2025: a) reducing spatial inequality across the urban-rural continuum and; b) enhancing the prosperity of city-regions. Similarly it contributes to the Inclusive Communities – Thriving Cities Flagship Programme.

Through this initiative, we aim to collect global practices and innovative solutions on urban and rural regeneration, creating a platform to showcase, exchange, and disseminate impactful approaches. Your participation will not only provide valuable practical experience to the global urban and rural regeneration but also contribute significantly to advancing integrated sustainable urban and territorial development.

Your account has been successfully registered and activated. Please take a moment to carefully review our Guidelines, Licensing Terms and Privacy Policy. These documents outline the rules of the selection process, as well as your rights and responsibilities during the evaluation. They serve as an essential guide to ensure your smooth participation in the selection process.

Throughout the process, the Advisory Board will adhere to the principles of fairness, transparency, and impartiality, and will conduct a rigorous and professional review of each submission to ensure the authority and credibility of the final results.

Once again, we sincerely thank you for your enthusiastic participation! We look forward to reviewing your submission and hope to bring together global actors to explore the tremendous energy and unique potential of urban regeneration. Together, let us elevate the global movement of urban and rural regeneration to new heights!

Wishing you every success in your application!
